Hand Layered Mixed Media Art by Denise Buisman Pilger
Famous for its lace, Burano is a little island in de ‘Laguna Veneta’ a little to the north of Venice. It was one of the destinations on a boat trip and since neither of us is very interested in lace we weren't expecting very much from it. But Burano surprised us with a wash of colors, all the buildings and boats are painted in bright colors that contrast the piercing blue Italian skies. When wandering away from the touristy hubbub and into the quiet back streets you will encounter the most picturesque scenes, every inch of this little island seems to be made to photograph.
This mixed media painting on wood is created using a combination of image transfer and acrylic paints and mediums. The artwork comes with a wire on the back for hanging, it is signed on the front and has title, date, artist name and a signed certificate of authenticity from the artist on the back.
Be advised that colors and brightness depend on your monitor and the digital picture may be slightly different from the original work of art.
