Curbside; Exhibition featuring Denise Buisman Pilger

Montréal, August 3, 2020. Coming soon at Viva Vida Art Gallery in Pointe Claire village! Curbside: A series of outdoor exhibitions throughout August and September, featuring a new artist each week. Drop or drive by each weekend to take a peek at Viva Vida Art Gallery’s outdoor installations and meet the featured artists!

From August 21-27 Viva Vida Art Gallery will feature artworks by international artist Denise Buisman Pilger, who recently returned from three years of living in Japan. This wonderful exhibition offers a great opportunity to catch up with the artist herself who will be working at the gallery over the weekend. She has brought some very special new works all the way from Japan so don’t miss this awesome opportunity to get out and see some amazing art in a safe environment.

The exhibition will be held from August 21-27 with a vernissage on Friday August 21 from 18H00 - 20H00. The artist will be at the gallery for a meet and greet during the vernissage and she will be painting at the gallery on Saturday and Sunday, don’t miss this opportunity to catch up with Denise and see her latest pieces from Japan! Viva Vida Art Gallery is located on 278 Lakeshore Road in the Pointe Claire Village.

 

またね (Matane) a final solo exhibition in Japan

Nagoya, March 31, 2020. After almost 3 years in Japan the Artist Abroad is scheduled to move back to Montréal in July of this year (2020). Before the big move she will organize one last solo exhibition in Nagoya, Japan. The exhibition is titled ‘またね (Matane)’ which means ‘See you later’ in Japanese. “Living in an expat community there are always people leaving so we are dealing with a lot of goodbyes but goodbye has such a finality to it and I really hope to be able to travel back to Japan to visit my friends in this beautiful country in the future so instead I will say ‘またね (Matane)’’ says Denise.

‘またね (Matane)’ will be held at the beautiful Esplanade Gallery which is located in a beautiful traditional Japanese building close to Endoji  Shotengai shopping street and about a 5 minute walk from Nagoya International Center. The show will run from June 2-7 (Tuesday-Sunday) and the artist will be in attendance during opening hours so mark your calendars! Tue.-Fri. 13:00-18:00 Sat. 12:00-18:00 Sun. 12:00-16:00

On display will be a series of Japan inspired pieces both on wood panels and traditional Japanese washi paper. For Japan based collectors this will be a wonderful opportunity to add one of Denise’s gorgeous pieces to your collection without having to deal with complicated and expensive shipping arrangements.

The artist is looking forward to spending some quality time with you!
