Mixed Media on Wood

24" x 20" | 61 cm x 51 cm

Collectors: Manon & Guillaume Sourbès, Switzerland:

When I look at a painting I want to be able to remember the smell, the look and feel of that place. There is fun in your painting but it also represents what we lived through in Japan, the challenges of living in a very traditional, hard town, it was complex to mix with the Japanese. But we did love our time there, the fun and dynamic we experienced during our visit is in there. When we look at something we like it to bring us to a place we love and remember. Your art translates what we have in memories. ~ Manon & Guillaume

This black and white Tokyo cityscape shows a typical Japanese big city steet scene with a myriqad of signs on display everywhere you look. The juxtaposition between the modern buildings and the women in traditional dress apparent in this painting reflect juxtapositions seen on a daily basis in Japan.

This mixed media painting on wood is created using a combination of image transfer and acrylic paints and mediums together with textured papers. The artwork comes with a wire on the back for hanging, it is signed on the front and has title, date, artist name and a signed certificate of authenticity from the artist on the back.

Be advised that colors and brightness depend on your monitor and the digital picture may be slightly different from the original work of art.
